Vintage Apollo Martin two piece take-down steel bow in grey, complete with sight and in its original box with receipt dated 1958 (as expected for its age the box is tatty)

Comes with a set of vintage arrows also by Apollo Martin (one of the 7 arrows is broken) in original box which is in good condition.

Manufactured by Accles & Pollock Ltd of Oldbury, Birmingham - a British company renowned for steel tubing.

Steel bows like this were state-of-the-art competition bows and took over from all-wood longbows from about the late 1930s to the 1950s, when fiberglass recurves took over. This is an ideal collectors piece and recommended for display purposes only.
