This is Goblin.

I made the bow myself with influence from the Asian archery world. 64" 27lb at 28", thumb draw and ambidextrous 

I made several Yew Maruki Longbows which are also listed here, this gave me a road to understanding thumdraw bows and allowed me to create an Asymmetrical bow to shoot with the same technique. The bow resembles several bamboo designs but can be described as a Deflex reflex selfbow horsbow longbow.

Goblin is also technically an organic composite bow with it's Birch bark backing. The bow worked well as a Selfbow before installing the bark so its not structurally dependant but worked well in adding a small amount of weight, shock absorption and security 

The handle wood is Sappelle not mahogany, as I once thought, but is gorgeous regardless. I formed it from 2 pieces sandwiching a slimmer piece and works very well. The objective with this bow is to allow a good wrap around grip in order to help technique, it's a shape I've done several times now and this one has worked particularly well. The requirements of the horse bow technique creates a distinct shape to the arrow pass which is around 18mm. 

The tip Overlays are spalted maple and are a unique pattern created by a fungus. Each one is like a miniature painting. Sturdy and shapely, just how we like em.

I will have made another bow named Driad which is very similar to this one but with a one piece handle. It's currently at Wales Archery Specialists being shown off but will be listed here soon

The listed price is set to cover the bow, postage a string and 3 arrows. International customers may cost a little more though posting to America wasn't that much more than posting within the UK.

I thoroughly test the bows I make to ensure strength and consistent feel and power and I'm getting better each time. Buying a bow from me keeps me making bows and the craft alive.
